Kirvesniemi is very peaceful for your stay to enjoy silent nature with your family and friends.

Our place is close 100 year old farm in the coast of Lake Saimaa in the western Puumala. We are renting 3 modern cottages.

Water, rocks and forest between them is typhical landscape in our area. Here and there are small fields of local farmers. Out of roads, it is unlikely to see other people. The sound of births is often only sound you can here. In Winter time, there is total silence.

Kirvesniemi is located in island of Hurissalo, in municipality of Puumala. Kirvesniemi is very peaceful and silent place where you can stay and enjoy nature with your family and friends.

Puumala is well-known district of summer houses and named also as the most beatiful municipality in Lake Saimaa area. Hurissalo in small village with around 300 inhabitants.

Arrival time: 4pm (earliest)
Departure time: 12pm (latest)
Saturday is standard arrival day during holiday season.
Outside of season other arrival days are accepted also.

Arrival time: 6pm (earliest)
Departure time: 10pm (latest)
Weekend period is from Friday to Sunday, it can be extended by one day by extra cost.

If not other agreements, key is received from main house on arrival.
If you are visiting first time, we like to make short introduction to cottage facilities to make your stay comportable.

Final cleaning and linen are not included in standard day/week prices.

  • Dishes should be cleaned
  • All waste should be taken to the collection point (own bin exists for bio, mixed waste, glass, wood ash)
  • Furniture should be leave original places
  • Bed linen (if rented) should be left on the top of the bed
  • Rugs or carpets shall be vacuum-cleaned
  • The cottage shall be vacuum-cleaned
  • Carpets should be taken to terrace over floor wiping
  • Floors shall be wiped over with a damp mop
  • Tables and surfaces shall be wiped with a moist cloth
  • The sauna and WC shall be cleaned
  • The yard area and barbecue location shall be left in a tidy condition
    • Dishes should be cleaned
    • All waste should be taken to the collection point (own bin exists for bio, mixed waste, glass, wood ash)
    • Furniture should be leave original places
    • Bed linen (if rented) should be left on the top of the bed
